INSULATION

Keep the warmth in and the cold out! Insulating your home is still a powerful method of saving both energy and money. At James Frew Ltd., our accredited and reliable insulation and heating technicians will take this to new heights for you.

Types of Insulation

Loft Insulation

Around 25% of heat is lost through the roof. Loft insulation is a barrier of material installed between the joists or in the rafters and is a great way to improve heat retention and save on energy bills. Insulating an uninsulated loft with 270mm of loft insulation can help you save over £500 on energy bills per year.

Room in Roof Insulation

Like loft insulation, Room In Roof insulation (RIR) will act as a barrier to keep the heat down in your home where it belongs. If you are currently using your loft or attic space as a living area, then we can secure the funding for RIR insulation. We can make sure that all areas are fully insulated, maximising the energy efficiency of the space utilised.

Cavity Wall Insulation

Around 35% of heat is lost through uninsulated walls. Cavity wall insulation fills the gap between your external and internal walls, providing a barrier between the cold outside and your warm home. Adding this type of insulation is essential in saving energy and cavity wall insulation can help you save over £600 per year on your energy bills.

Solid Wall Insulation

Solid wall homes are especially vulnerable to heat loss due to their design and construction materials. Make sure the heat stays in your home with solid wall insulation. James Frew Ltd. can assist you to gain funding for solid wall properties and can secure it for your home for both Internal & External Wall Insulation.

Solid Wall Insulation

Around 15% of heat is lost through the floor. Timber floors can be insulated by lifting the floorboards and laying wool insulation supported by netting between the joists. Insulating under the floorboards on the ground floor will reduce drafts in your property saving you money on your energy bills.
