James Frew Ltd. employees attended a Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention Play organised by West College Scotland.
Drama Students who teamed up with Breathing Space – a free, confidential, phone service for anyone in Scotland experiencing low mood, depression or anxiety.
Partnership between West College Scotland, Breathing Space/ NHS 24 and the Construction Industry helped co-produce a powerful performance to help spread awareness and the message that help is always available.
James Frew Ltd. are a strong supporter of promoting and supporting Mental Health Awareness in the workplace and contacted the college to arrange for all apprentices to attend alongside some managers, bringing the total to 38.
Breathing Space gathered some feedback after the event. 100% of employees agreed that Mental Health should be discussed as part of the apprenticeship. As a result of the play, 87% of employees feel more able to talk about mental health with a work mate.
