James Frew Ltd were invited to Ayrshire College to meet with students who are nearing the end of their NPA Plumbing level 5 course and discuss working in the plumbing and gas industry.
Kevin Kidd, Compliance and Training manager at James Frew, took the lead and gave a presentation about potential job opportunities and expectations to the eager students. The class consisted of over 12 students from an age range of 20-55 years old. The presentation consisted of a brief background history of the company, the Modern Apprenticeship opportunities available and other various routes to successfully get into the trade.
Kevin said, ''The class appeared very interested and were not shy in asking numerous questions regarding working at James Frew, skills required, hours of work and expected salaries. I really enjoyed giving the presentation as the students seemed very grateful for all the information and advice. I wish them every success in their next step and hope they don't hesitate in applying for any positions that may come available within James Frew Ltd in the near future.''
Heather Campbell, the class lecturer asked if James Frew Ltd could return next term as the talk was well received by all.
