NEW FACELIFT FOR ADROSSAN RESIDENTS

James Frew has completed the refurbishment of George Aitken Court, a sheltered housing complex in Ardrossan, North Ayrshire.

Appointed by North Ayrshire Council, the £650,000 contract included new wet rooms for the 22 self-contained apartments ensuring they are now fully accessible, as well as upgrading works to the main lounge, the communal kitchen, toilets and guest / relatives accommodation.

The contract also included a new energy efficient boiler plant and a purpose built store to accommodate disability scooters.

Work is now underway to convert the former warden's flat into a bespoke design to include large wet room fitted with ceiling mounted slide rail and hoist.

Roddy Frew, Managing Director, James Frew said, "The work has greatly enhanced the facilities at George Aitken Court. The addition of new wet rooms, which are bigger and equipped with added features such as hand rails, will make daily living more manageable for residents."
